GOAL: create sellable public lightboxes based on a theme (think of these as “idea starters.”) One “theme” per month – discuss and brainstorm ideas in the contest forum thread. The theme will be announced the month prior but only accepted during that theme’s month.
If any of your images receive a 5/5 Initial Inspector Rating, it will be featured in that month’s theme page.
Everyone will have an opportunity to offer ideas. I really want group collaberation! Pretend, as a group, we are all at a Minilypse or an iStockalypse; we are offered a plethora of _______ and we will each choose to do _______ with that idea. You have access to X, I have access to Y. How can we make awesome stock out of what we have and are capable of producing? I’m looking for a LB that contains images/video/sound that makes sense for a buyer to look in on any particular topic.
Images that fit the monthly theme are allowed to be posted in the contest thread during the given timeframe (like the Illustration forum monthly challenge). All suitable images that fit the theme are allowed into the Public Lightboxes. Only active participants in this race are allowed to have images in the lightboxes.
There are no limits to the number you can add to the lightboxes – as long as they fit the theme. To avoid overkill in the thread, let’s keep it to five or so max of your best shots. If you have many more than that, please lightbox them all up and send a link to Ben to add to the competition LBs. (Ben, I’m just making this up so if you have another idea that might work better, let me know.)
I want to remind everyone that music, video, illos are also very welcome – but, to avoid becoming redundant, I’m going to use the terms “photograph,” “shoot,” “images,” etc.
