(From Ben Lin) There’s good news though — reformatting, especially in the camera, usually only clears out the file management portion, not the files themselves. Do not shoot on that CF card again, you may still be able to recover the files.
I have a great program called Data Recovery Wizard Professional. My friend did a quick format on her camera’s SD card in her PC, and I was able to recover every single file for her using this.
(From AlesVeluscek) When I got software I tested it first. format card (after copied images), and recover. It worked. I needed that software once, after I reformat wrong card in camera. I don’t remember what software it is, but I can look up at home if you need it.
